OOTD#1 - BOXING DAY WALK
Hello, if you’re reading this I hope you’ve had a great December.
My family and I went on our Boxing Day walk across the beach and I thought it would be a good opportunity to show you one of my classic Winter outfits.
Winter can be a hard season to dress for. For me it’s always a balancing act between looking put-together and keeping warm. Pairing a white shirt over a black jumper is a nice detail, whilst also adding another layer to stop you from freezing. Underneath the jumper I am wearing a vest and tee, meaning I’ve successfully worn 5 layers without looking like I swallowed a puffa jacket.
The shirt and jumper are both old pieces, which I think are absolutely classic and I have worn solidly for the past 3+ years. If you’re looking for a classic shirt, I’d highly recommend looking in the men’s section of high street or charity shops, as men tend to have less trend cycles - meaning the quality of the clothes are better (e.g. 100% cotton).
Shout out to some charity shop items! My trousers are fantastic grey high-waisted trousers from a charity shop back in my uni town. They’re a total staple in my wardrobe and I tend to wear them a couple of times per week. My coat is pure wool and was only £15 from Cancer Research - total bargain and an absolute classic
Earrings (from friend), Shirt (£6- Primark), Jumper (£4 - New Look sale), Trousers (£4 - charity shop), Coat (£15- Cancer Research), Boots (Office)
I hope this provides some inspiration for people wanting to minimise their wardrobe and stay classic!
Have a wonderful New Year - xoxo Hali
